Chief Content Officer
Lisa has worked in travel editorial for the past 15 years, earning her stripes as a travel writer in the late 90s then working as an editor and eventually managing editor for online content provider wcities. In 2002 she set up London-based travel editorial agency The Content Works (TCW) with a former colleague and built up a huge network of international researchers, writers, editors and translators who produced hundreds of print and online guides for Time Out, Thomas Cook, Dorling Kindersley and the BBC.
In 2007, TCW was welcomed into the EnVeritas Group family, and this international team has gone on to produce guides for Lonely Planet, Nintendo, Alastair Sawday Publishing and a host of hospitality companies. A linguist at heart, Lisa has also overseen large translation projects for Yahoo!, Orange and the Accor group, and produced a 15-strong series of phrase guides for the biggest travel guide publisher in the UK. She is known for her capacity to manage large teams remotely, is a skilled content strategist and a champion of social media.
Lisa has an honors degree in German and European Studies from the University of Surrey, Guildford. She is widely traveled, having spent extended periods in Germany, Austria, Spain, Australia and the US.
