Content Marketing Case Study: Nintendo
OBJECTIVE
Nintendo wanted to produce a public, transport-based map application for 10 major European cities in six languages for DSWare’s City Transport Maps Volumes 1& 2 for their popular, handheld gaming system, the Nintendo DSi. The text was to be in the form of a quiz, with questions relating to each city and a photo of a venue or icon as the prize for correct guesses.
SOLUTION
The London office of EnVeritas Group was the ideal fit for the project with an extensive team of international writers, editors, translators and designers. We provided editorial and images for the new application. Nintendo didn't want anything obvious or known, so the emphasis was on the quirky or unusual and they needed in-depth local knowledge and photo research/provision and a localization team who could give the product wide appeal.
RESULTS
This was the first app developed by the European office for an international market. EVG did the job within time and budget, and in fact was less expensive than all alternatives, including internal. Take up was over 50% higher than expected.
